We had so many wonderful beach days while we were in SanDiego visiting my family. This is always my favorite thing to do while we are there. The smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves bring back so many memories of growing up in SD. I am so glad my kids get to experience this every summer. Damen got brave enough to take on the waves with the body board this year. He went out all by himself and caught waves. He even got comfortable enough with it that he would try getting up on his knees while riding the waves, maybe he will be surfing next summer. Both the kids spent hours looking for shells, building sand castles, and playing in the waves.
